The Taichung City Tourism Bureau has launched the 2023 Taichung Coastal Line Tourism Promotion Event, with the theme "Fun Ocean Journey, Smile Jia Anpu." A press conference for the opening of the special exhibition was held on August 19, at the Da'an Port Mazu Cultural Park. Bureau Director Chen Mei-Hsiu (7th from the left) invited exhibition curators and guests to join as tour guides, officially kicking off the event.

The exhibition, lasting 9 days, will be held at the Da'an Port Mazu Cultural Park. It takes visitors through the region's history, ecology, and tourism resources, allowing them to explore the charm of the coastal area.

The exhibition consists of four major sections:

  1. "Dajia Mazu Legend" - Focuses on local Mazu culture.
  2. "Come to Anhai and See the Crabs" - Focuses on marine ecology.
  3. "Dakas and Dajia 53 Villages" - Showcases the history and industrial tourism resources of the Dakas region and Jia An Pu.
  4. "Cool Summer Sand Sculptures and Ocean Art" - Displays a decade of sand sculpture records.

Curators, including local historians, ecological experts, and teams focused on local development, have worked together to create a creative and immersive exhibition. The exhibition also invites artisans skilled in rush grass and driftwood creations.

A key part of the exhibit involves community collaboration, where local residents repurpose marine waste to create artwork. This includes creating realistic Da'an water-scarf clothes, which are displayed alongside energy-efficient LED lights and augmented reality (AR) features that depict scenes like mermaids saving whales and dolphins.
